Autism – Good Health through Good Nutrition Will Prevent the Onset of Autism
Description
Cause of Autism – The results of my recent study confirmed my earlier theory as to
the basic cause for autism. The cause was found to be malnutrition. The simple
truth is that recommended diets and practices for the care of children from birth
are not supported by the facts when considering the nutritional needs and
composition of the brain. For proper development and function, the brain has
nutritional requirements that far exceed that which is available in the recommended
diets for children
The literature has shown that individuals with autism are deficient in perhaps more than sixty different
nutrients. These include cholesterol, choline, phosphorus, several vitamins, several amino acids, and
many of the fatty acids. Based upon the USDA Nutrient Database, the diets recommended are
incapable of providing adequately for these critical nutrients.
Predicting Autism – Based upon a study of more than a thousand individuals with autism, bio-markers
were identified that make it possible to predict if the child will be diagnosed with autism. The prediction
was 94% accurate and can be determined through a simple survey of life style and dietary practices
that ensures good health with good nutrition.
In confirming the theory that the cause is due to malnutrition, more than 94% of responses confirmed
the children with autism were absent the foods necessary to prevent the symptoms. Autism was
predicted quite accurately and there were less than 2% where the combination of diet and dietary
practices could not explain the presence of autism.
Preventing autism – The prevention of autism is possible through this type of early intervention. The
survey is fast, inexpensive, and accurate allowing the parent to choose the lifestyle and dietary
practices that will prevent the child from developing the symptoms associated with the nutritional
deficiencies that give rise to neurological disorders such as autism.
It is fair to say that common sense alone would suggest that all known needs for the proper
development of the brain should be present in the diet to have any hope of prevention. I have not
found any research where the basic needs were even discussed let alone provided for those in their
studies or those who ultimately are diagnosed. What is almost universally recommended is to: avoid
the cholesterol containing foods, avoid animal fats, it is ok to start solid foods at 12 months or even
later, etc. It is exceedingly clear that the parents as well as the researchers must become aware of the
specific needs of the developing brain and the foods that will provide adequately if prevention is to be
achieved.
Curing the Nutritional Deficiencies – If the dietary practices eliminate the nutritional deficiencies
associated with the symptoms of autism, research has demonstrated that in most cases the symptoms
disappear and do not return. This is referred to as the healing of the neurological structure for the
proper transmission of brain signals.
Though we do not know the specific symptom associated with a particular nutrient or group of nutrients,
we have adequate data to know the nutrients required for healthy neurological functions. In the recent
study those who chose to ensure the child’s diet was adequate as defined in my study, the responses
showed that most forms of autism symptoms disappeared in as little as one to four weeks. Non-verbal
children and those with bipolar disorder took a little longer.
