These recommendations are based on a recent study of more than 500
autistic individuals. The study included an in depth review of the changes in
dietary recommendations and practices over the past fifty years as well. Also
included in the study was a review of the composition of brain tissue to identify
what the healthy brain requires for proper development and function. This was
compared to numerous foods to determine which foods could adequately
provide those needs and which foods fail in providing for those needs.
I recommend your search for help begin with a simple review of the child’s
diet. More than sixty nutrients have been found to be deficient in autistic
children. The nutritionally adequate diet has been proven to eliminate all of
the known deficiencies and the foods recommended are natural and readily
available in any grocery store. This diet is safe, simple, and effective for the
elimination of these deficient nutrients.
My study has proven that the highest risk for your child to experience
autism is a lack of proper nutrition. Other factors such as genetics, vaccines,
environmental toxins, etc, are considered to be secondary in nature, but are
not the cause. I cannot prove that a proper diet will prevent autism at this
time; however, the nutritionally adequate diet can prevent the deficiencies
associated with autistic children and there is clear evidence that the
recommended changes should be started at 3-4 months of age. There is
historical evidence to support that recommendation and I have provided the
technical evidence in my book to confirm it. I believe this will prevent the
symptoms from ever developing.
For those children who have shown the signs of autism, diagnosed or not,
I recommend the first line of defense prior to investing hundreds or thousands
of dollars for medications or even the numerous analytical test for deficiencies,
toxins, genetic changes, etc, the parents should do a simple comparison of the
diet being provided to determine if it is providing adequately for the needed
nutrients.
This can be done quickly and simply with a review of the charts and tables
provided in my book: “Autism Mystery Solved?” If deficiencies are found, the
diet should be changed to ensure the deficiencies no longer exist. It is usually
possible to provide foods or supplements to eliminate the deficiencies. If the
symptoms persist, it is then time to start with the more extensive and expensive
tests. But again, I would look for nutritional deficiencies first to confirm the
critical nutrients are not deficient since they are now known to be the primary
cause for autistic symptoms.
The problem that I see with current medical practices is that nutrition has
been all but ignored as a possible cause, where as my research confirms it to
be the most likely cause, and is the path to prevention, as well as cure for
most of these disorders. This is simply the best place to start if you desire to
prevent your child from experiencing these brain disorders.

Dr. Rongey offers assistance in finding the best foods and/or supplements to
avoid these deficiencies. By simply eliminating the deficiencies, as provided in
his book, one can eliminate the various symptoms in a reasonably short time
for most symptoms. Assistance is available for parents who feel the analysis is
too technical or complicated to complete on their own
